August 28th, 2014—Kishwaukee College students competed in the 50th National SkillsUSA Leadership Conference and SkillsUSA Championships held in Kansas City, MO on June 23 — 27. Four students who earned First Place honors at the Illinois statewide SkillsUSA Competition in April advanced to compete at the National championship against first-place finishers from across the country. <  Full Article

Enrollment open in KC's free ESL and GED® classes through September 3

August 28th, 2014—The Adult Education and Transition Programs division of Kishwaukee College is offering free GED preparation classes and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes during Fall 2014 in Rochelle. All classes are offered free of charge to participants. Classes begin the week of August 25. Enrollment is open for classes from August 25 — September 3. Students may register on class meeting days at the class site or at the Adult Education offices at Kishwaukee College. There will be future opportunities for enrollment in GED and ESL classes this semester in October and November.<  Full Article

KC offers free GED® preparation classes in DeKalb area

August 28th, 2014—Adult learners can prepare for the GED exam by taking free classes offered through Kishwaukee College\\\'s Adult Education and Transition Programs division. GED classes cover Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics. Adults work at their own level and speed. GED preparation classes are free for the participants. Classes begin the week of August 25. Students may enroll through September 3 and then again from October 6 - 9 in any of the classes.<  Full Article
