September 23rd, 2014—The I-CAPS Program at Kishwaukee College is serving as a model of instructional efficiency for the national Accelerating Opportunity Programs in the state of Illinois. On September 16, Bevan Gibson, Director of the Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville Professional Development Center, Sarah Goldammer, SIU-E Professional Development Center, and Dr. Aime\\\'e LaFollette Julian, Interim Director of the Illinois State University Center for Specialized Professional Support, were at the College with a professional film crew to create instructional videos with the Kishwaukee College I-CAPS faculty and staff.< Full Article
September 22nd, 2014—The Adult Education and Transition Programs (AETP) division at Kishwaukee College is raising awareness of the continued need for adult education in the local communities by recognizing National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, September 22 — 29. < Full Article
September 18th, 2014—Kishwaukee College is hosting a free evening of Hispanic dance performances by three local dance troupes. The Celebration of Dance will be held on Tuesday September 23 from 6:30 — 8:00p.m. in A1273 in the Kishwaukee College Conference Center. The event is free and open to the public and will include light refreshments.< Full Article
September 18th, 2014—Kishwaukee College President Dr. Tom Choice held a special welcome luncheon on campus on Tuesday, September 9, for returning students who are enrolled in the College's Honors Program and new students who received the College's Academic Achievement Awards. The students enjoyed lunch with Dr. Choice; Sedgwick Harris, Vice President of Student Services; Dr. Mark Lanting, Vice President of Instruction; Rob Galick, Vice President of Finance and Administration; and Nancy Partch, Dean of Student Services. Speakers at the luncheon were Dr. Choice; Dr. Anthony Thomas, Honors Program Advisor; Jenna Jane, Honors Program graduate; and Laura Chiavini, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society advisor.
