Program Information

The mission of Kishwaukee College’s Therapeutic Massage Certification Program is to provide excellence in massage therapy training. Students are provided the knowledge and practical skills of massage therapy so that they may become highly skilled practitioners. Courses are offered at an affordable rate and are scheduled at convenient times to accommodate a diverse student population.  While emphasizing health and wellness, the program strives to educate students with a firm foundation in the bio-sciences, professionalism and ethics.

Our 696-hour (33 credit) therapeutic massage certification program will prepare you to become a highly skilled massage therapist. The curriculum meets the standards set by the Commission On Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) and our graduates are eligible to sit for the National Certification Examination For Therapuetic Massage (NCETM) or the Massage and Bodywork Licensure Exam (MBLEx). Kishwaukee College remains informed of the Illinois Massage Licensing Act to insure that our graduates will be eligible for professional licensure in the State of Illinois.

Our curriculum was developed to accommodate many different learning styles for both the full-time and part-time student. Kishwaukee College offers part-time, (Regular Track) evening/weekend class schedules and our full-time, (Fast Track) day class schedules to meet the needs of all students.

Our student body is comprised of working adults seeking a second career and also people who are entering massage therapy as a first career choice.
